Carolyn Arends is the quintessential Indie acoustic artist. With a guitar and her signature vocal stylings, she captures pictures life and truth in her words and music. Carolyn broke into the CCM scene in 1995 with her first album, "I Can Hear You," and promptly captured musical and faithful hearts with her signature songs "Seize the Day" and "Reaching," In her two-decade musical career, she has released twelve albums, with fifteen top 10 radio singles on the Canadian pop and US Christian charts. Arends has been honored musically with two Dove Awards (US), three Juno Nominations (Canada), and recognition as the West Coast Music Awards’ Songwriter of the Year.
For Anselm LIVE! with Carolyn Arends, Carolyn will be accompanied by multi-instrumentalist, performer, and recording artist Spencer Capier. Spencer has played on hundreds of albums, recording in Vancouver, LA, and Nashville, and has recently begun producing albums as well. Spencer's varied style on multiple acoustic instruments, and his vocal accompaniment, helps tell the stories of Carolyn's songs with a full and blended acoustic sound.
