The Common Room is a new Anselm Society community gathering based on the “Scriptorium” events at Pusy House Oxford, and the older monastic tradition of setting aside special rooms for the copying of manuscripts.

This is not an event. It is an opportunity to set aside a day (or a significant portion of one) for study or creating, in the company of likeminded souls doing the same.

Our hope is to be able to do these regularly, if the level of interest and participation warrants it.

  • 12pm: Lunch together

  • 1pm: Prayer for our work

  • 1:10pm-4pm: Quiet time for work and study

  • 4:30pm: Evening Prayer to transition us back to the rest of the day
