In the fall of 1973, Judith and Ken Westcott established a non-auditioned community choir for the Annual Lutheran Reformation Service and invited various denominations in the Pike's Peak region to participate. That December, Soli Deo Gloria Choir performed the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah which then became the genesis for the ongoing Soli Deo Gloria Choir. For the 50th Anniversary Celebration, the SDG Choir will again offer the Christmas portion of the Messiah.

The event is free and open to the public; no registration is required.
