This is a chance to gather as a community and make a joyful noise with our voices, singing some great choir tunes in a casual, non-performance setting. We'll be led by composer, arranger and conductor Joel Clarkson.
The night is open to everyone; whether you can read music or not, we’d love to have you there! Think of this less as a formal choir with a leader and singers, and more of a collaborative, impromptu musical expression. While we’ll have some actual choral pieces, we’ll also be singing a bunch of hymns, and if you have a suggestion for either a choral work or a hymn, the floor is open! Like a band jam, except with our voices.
We’ll gather in the fellowship hall at around 7PM for a bite and some shared conversation, and try to start moving toward the sanctuary around 7:30-45PM. Please bring your favorite snack or finger food to share with others!

Singing Tallis's "If Ye Love Me" in our first choral jam on July 8:
Choral jam #1: we're singing Tallis's "If Ye Love Me" (16th century)! Most of us were a bit rusty (at best!) with our sight reading, but Joel Clarkson did a great job coaching us along. Next choral jam is July 29--hope you can join us!Thanks to Lily Howard for taking this video!
