There is no “heaven” and “earth” as we’ve commonly come to understand them; harps and clouds on the one hand and unimportant physical matter on the other. Earth is charged with the grandeur of God, and we can learn to see His character and His workmanship crackling through every fiber of the world we live in. But to do this, we must move beyond some categories we’re used to using—and delve deeper into phrases like “the heavens declare the glory of God” than your typical Instagram post does.
Each month during our 2022 “Why We Create” series, we will explore one theme within the overall topic; with teaching in the form of essays, with stories that expand our imaginations to encounter this part of God’s truth, and with a dialogue of subsequent conversations and art.
