Going Online! Conference to Reach Wider Audience
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 23, 2020) — When the Anselm Society leadership team was forced to cancel this year's Imagination Redeemed Conference, we started to discuss what we could do instead. We had already been brainstorming about how we could love people in the time of COVID-19. Goodness, truth, and beauty cannot be canceled, and the Anselm Society is determined to share them in as many ways as possible!
Brian Brown, Anselm's founder and director, recently announced The #ReenchantTheWorld (From Where You Are) online event. And we want YOU to be a part of it! Here's how it'll work:
From March 24 to April 24:
The Anselm community will be filling Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube feeds (and a special landing page) with imaginative content designed to encourage, connect, and inspire.
Here are some ideas of how you can participate:
Take a video of yourself sharing a favorite piece of art.
Read a story or poem or selection.
Sing or play a song.
Show us a painting--and tell us why you love it.
No masterpieces expected. We just want to see your smile, be reminded that we can find beauty in the hardest of moments, and get a chance to enjoy something potentially new.
Post your video (with audience set to public) on Facebook with the #reenchanttheworld hashtag and tag @Anselm Society, or email a link to us at anselmsociety@gmail.com.
From April 24 to May 7:
The Imagination Redeemed Conference 2020 is going 100% online, with video and audio from artists, authors, and culture leaders!
By the way, everything offered will add to the #ReenchantTheWorld (From Where You Are) online event too.
For the cost of a $35 Re-enchant the World Pass, pass holders can enjoy instant access to a new video presentation every morning for two weeks from April 24 to May 7. Learn from the likes of C.S. Lewis scholar Andrew Lazo or New York-based church worship expert Amber Salladin, among others. Every evening we’ll host a private livestream Q&A. Pass holders also will have limitless access to content.
Participating in the Conference:
Click here to buy a conference pass, make sure you're on our email list, follow our Facebook page, and even donate to help us cover the cost of this.
Selected sessions will become accessible for free on May 8 and after. The interactive events, unfortunately, will not.
For current ticketholders of the cancelled in-person IRC2020: We are so disappointed that we can't have this experience in person. Refunds are available, of course. Or if you would like to donate the value of one or more of your tickets to help us cover the cost of this online experience (and the costs involved in planning and canceling a large event), we would be immensely grateful (and your gift will be tax deductible). Click here and let us know which.
This is going to be wonderful. Over the course of two weeks, we’ll get to enjoy the Imagination Redeemed Conference from home, intimately interacting with world-class thinkers. Together we can #ReenchanttheWorld from where we are!
